Healthcare destinations

Choose the clinical fit first. Build the journey around it.

China’s major cities offer different combinations of institutions, specialties and practical access. We can also help international residents or visitors already in one of these cities navigate a non-emergency healthcare need.

Discuss your healthcare need

How a city is selected

A famous city is not the same as the right healthcare destination.

The relevant specialty, institution, likely schedule, language needs, recovery demands, accompanying family and total journey all matter. A city should follow the clinical need—not lead it.

01

National referral center

Beijing

A broad concentration of national-level tertiary hospitals and specialist centers for complex, rare and multidisciplinary conditions.

Best considered when the clinical priority is access to a particular national center or specialist team. Distance between institutions and seasonal travel conditions should be planned carefully.
02

International clinical gateway

Shanghai

A substantial mix of leading public hospitals, international departments, private providers and specialist institutions across many treatment areas.

International transport, accommodation and multilingual services make longer or multi-stage visits easier to organize. Costs vary considerably across care settings.
03

South China medical center

Guangzhou

Broad tertiary and specialist capacity serving South China, with established resources across complex diagnosis, oncology, cardiovascular care, fertility and other specialties.

A useful base for patients connected to Southeast Asia or the Greater Bay Area, with access to a large urban healthcare system and nearby regional options.
04

Greater Bay Area access point

Shenzhen

Modern public, university-affiliated, specialist and private healthcare options with growing international patient services and close links to Hong Kong.

Well suited to patients already living, working or traveling in the Greater Bay Area, and to journeys where transport, digital services and family logistics matter strongly.
05

Western China healthcare hub

Chengdu

Major tertiary and specialist resources serving a large regional population, including important options for complex diagnosis and treatment.

Offers a more manageable base for patients whose clinical needs match the city’s institutions, particularly when a longer stay or family support is involved.

Healthcare in place

Different cities offer different care settings.

Real institution environments help patients understand the scale and setting behind an option. They do not determine suitability; the clinical fit comes first.

A strong choice of hospitals

China offers serious options for international patients.

Coverage across patient needs

A focused initial network, built around the care patients are seeking.

Our first-stage institution landscape is deliberately concentrated. It is broad enough to support the principal needs MedVoyage China is preparing to coordinate, while each actual option remains subject to case review and institutional acceptance.

Representative institutions are selected from public information because their stated services or official pilot status indicate potential readiness for international patients. MedVoyage China is independent from the institutions shown. Inclusion does not imply a commercial partnership, endorsement or guaranteed acceptance of a case. We evaluate the current fit and access route for each patient before suggesting an institution.

The specialties shown are representative strengths, not a complete department list. MedVoyage China's priority treatment areas reflect where we currently see a strong patient and business case; they do not limit the healthcare needs we help patients navigate.

A temporary base, not a tour package

Practical arrangements should reduce the burden around care.

We coordinate options according to location, treatment schedule, mobility, family needs, dietary preferences and budget.

  • Accommodation near the selected institution
  • Airport, station and local transportation
  • Interpretation and appointment accompaniment
  • Suitable dining and daily-life arrangements
  • Low-intensity family and recovery activities when appropriate
  • Communication and follow-up before departure

Institution information

We start with the patient's need—not a hospital sales target.

Displaying or discussing an institution does not imply partnership, endorsement or authorization. We do not use an institution’s logo without permission or present a paid commercial relationship as neutral patient guidance.
